It doesn't have any of the fancyness of Nightmare's Critical Edge, which honestly feels like a free win. What does Siegfried have? A horizontal Critical Edge. Also, on the topic of revenge mechanics, Nightmare's Critical Edge is a Revenge Mechanic that he can charge into an UNBLOCKABLE that deals 50% of your health, if I'm not mistaken. Also, one of the biggest and most exploitable things about Siegfried, which is also one of his, if not his BIGGEST weakness, is that the vast majority of Siegfried's Horizontal attacks are high attacks, while Nightmare has a lot of Middle horizontal attacks, including a pretty powerful one in his Dark Legacy. Not to mention, Nightmare has multiple moves that have revenge mechanics, which makes it so you can't interrupt his attacks. I'd say Nightmare is more defensive that Siegfried, since he can use his revenge shockwave multiple times while Siegfried can only use his once per round. The only thing I can think of that Siegfried has better than Nightmare is sheer damage output, however, Nightmare EASILY makes up for that with his Dark Legacy, which gives him access to some really, REALLY devastating attacks And before I forget, Siegfried can only use his shockwave revenge move once while Nightmare can use his MULTIPLE times in the same round. Meanwhile, Nightmare can just get his Dark Legacy again by using that super effective kick that interrupts most attacks, unless it's a really fast attack. Nightmare gets access to his super powerful attacks with his Dark Legacy, and his Soul Charge lets him use it as much as he wants until the Soul Charge ends (correct me if I'm wrong.) Nightmare's Dark Legacy is much, much, MUCH more powerful than Siegfried's. 90% of the time, whether I'm fighting as or against Siegfried, he only gets Dark Legacy when his health turns yellow. Not to mention, this doesn't happen very often. The only exception to this is when Siegfried uses his Critical Edge, which then progresses Siegfried towards Dark Legacy, but that means he'd have to sacrifice a Soul Meter slot. Meanwhile, Siegfried only gets access to his Dark Legacy when his healthbar turns yellow. While Nightmare simply has to use said kick I mentioned earlier, or by using that one move where he stabs the enemy player while they're on the ground, he can easily gain his Dark Legacy. Nightmare gets access to his Dark Legacy a lot more than Siegfried. Nightmare's one kick that activates his Dark Legacy (I forget what the move is called) is pretty fast, and can interrupt most of Siegfried's moves. Everytime I fight Nightmare as Siegfried, that's my biggest issue. Nightmare is much faster than Siegfried. Nightmare is literally Siegfried 2.0 in multiple ways.
